WE ARE NOT ….GOD!
Sometimes life strikes like lightening from a storm drenched sky,
Unexpectedly interrupting the flow of our pre-mediated life,
Striking hard at heart strings tightly wound, a bolt from nowhere
Or so it seems that lays us low and shatters dreams.
Oh beautiful the spacious skies—that drop the charge that
Dares ignite the trust embedded in passive hearts,
And teaches us that life, oh so predictable, is not
Laid out in black and white, but exists in gray and
When life strikes hard and down we fall we realize that
After all, the God that rides upon the wind is in control,
And only then do we arise and lift our face to kiss the sun
and His embrace revives the heart to beat again—no more for us
but now for Him, and that is when we understand, finally,
we comprehend that we are not God.
